שמות כו:לה תפקיד וברכה Exodus 26:35 Role and Blessing

"וְשַׂמְתָּ֤ אֶת הַשֻּׁלְחָן֙ מִח֣וּץ לַפָּרֹ֔כֶת וְאֶת הַמְּנֹרָה֙ נֹ֣כַח הַשֻּׁלְחָ֔ן עַ֛ל צֶ֥לַע הַמִּשְׁכָּ֖ן תֵּימָ֑נָה וְהַ֨שֻּׁלְחָ֔ן תִּתֵּ֖ן עַל צֶ֥לַע צָפֽוֹן׃" (שמות כו:לה) לכאורא הסדר שך השולחן והמנורה הפוך כי הסדר כלי המשכן הוא מהכי פנימי (עליון)החוצה. ולכן המנורה שהיא מבטא את האור והיא בצד ימין (דרום) היתה צריכה להיות לפני השולחן שמבטא את הלחם. ועוד לפי סדר בריאת העולם, קודם היה אור לאחר כך הצמחים. ונראה לי,בסעיתא דשמיא, סדר הנכון הוא, כי אע"פ שמקור המנורה יותר עליון מהשולחן, כי סוד תפקיד של ישראל הוא להיות "אור לגוים" (ישעיהו מט:ו) כלומר להביר האור הפנימי של ה' מקודש הקדשים ולהאיר את כל העולם עם אמתו של הקב"ה, לכן, המנורה נמצא בצד ימין (חסד) ונדלק מהמערב (אחור) עד קדמה (פנים), ותפקידו של בני ישראל להמשיך את האור החוצה. והשלחון לא כן, אלא הוא מבטא הברכה והשפע שישראל מקבל כאשר אנחנו ממשים את תפקידנו. השולחן קשור לברכת הנחלה, ברכת ארץ, ולכן לעוסקין בשולחן ולחם הפנים אלא פעם בשבוע. אבל במנורה עוסקין כל יום כי היא הקימת תפקידינו בברית עם ה' ולחם הפנים אין לו אלא הודא על הבטחת ה' לנו.

"Place the Table outside the Veil as well as the Menorah (Candelabra) which should be set on the side of the Mishqan (Tabernacle) to the south; the Table place on the north.” (Exodus 26:35) It would seem that the order of the Table and the Menorah should be reversed, because the order of the Mishqan's vessels extends from the innermost (the 'highest') outward. Therefore, the Menorah which represents the light, and is even placed on the right side (south) should logically be mentioned before the Table, which represents sustenance. Further, according to the order of Creation, light was created before plants and grains. But, it seems to me, with the help of Heaven, that, we can see how the order is actually proper and correct. For even though the root source of the Menorah is higher than that of the Table, the order reflections the underlying truth of Israel's role as a Light unto the Nations (Isiah 49:6),that is to bring the Supernal Light of Gd from the Holy of Holies and enlighten the entire world with it. Therefore, the Menorah is placed on the right side (the side of Hesed-Kindness), and is lit from west (back) to east (front/face side). The role of the Children of Israel is to extend the light outward. This is not the case with the Table, which, instead, reflects material blessing that Israel receives when we fulfill our role. The Table is connected to the blessing of our Patrimony, the blessing of the Land, and thus, the Table and the Showbread is only attended to once a week. On the other hand, the Menorah is attended to daily, because it reflects the fulfillment of our covenantal role with Gd, while the is only an acknowledgment of the fulfillment of Gd's promise to us..
